COORDINATOR OF SACRED MUSIC

St. Paul Parish is seeking a collaborative, Christ-centered missionary disciple to serve as part-time Coordinator of Sacred Music.

Ministry responsibilities include

●    selecting and preparing sacred music based on the liturgical rubrics and norms of the Catholic Church

●    coordinating, encouraging, and forming volunteer accompanists and cantors

●    directing the choir for rehearsals, weekend liturgies, and Holy Days

●    coordinating music for funerals and weddings

●    attending Diocesan formation/training opportunities

●    working in close collaboration with the Pastor to encourage a deepening understanding of Eucharistic worship for the parish community.

The right candidate will

●    have piano and or organ accompaniment and song leading proficiency

●    lead and conduct a choir

●    know and understand the role of music within the Holy Mass

●    be familiar with a variety of liturgical resources and work within a set budget

●    be familiar with the Breaking Bread hymnal and its online portal

●    collaboratively work with the Pastor, staff team, and Diocesan leaders

●    communicate regularly with volunteers
