CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT ST. PAUL
COORDINATOR OF SACRED MUSIC
St. Paul Parish is seeking a collaborative, Christ-centered missionary disciple to serve as part-time Coordinator of Sacred Music.
Ministry responsibilities include:
- selecting and preparing sacred music based on the liturgical rubrics and norms of the Catholic Church
- coordinating, encouraging, and forming volunteer accompanists and cantors
- directing the choir for rehearsals, weekend liturgies, and Holy Days
- coordinating music for funerals and weddings
- attending Diocesan formation/training opportunities
- working in close collaboration with the Pastor to encourage a deepening understanding of Eucharistic worship for the parish community.
The right candidate will:
- have piano accompaniment proficiency
- lead and conduct a choir
- know and understand the role of music within the Holy Mass
- be familiar with a variety of liturgical resources and work within a set budget
- work with the Pastor, staff team, and Diocesan leaders
- communicate regularly with volunteers
