Your donations in the pink Loaves and Fishes envelopes supports many food pantries and shelters in our area. Some include St. Joe’Äôs Food Pantry, St. John’Äôs Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry of Kaukauna, The Emergency Shelter, Fr. Carr’Äôs Place 2B, and COTS. In addition to the monetary donation we share with these shelters, we also have many volunteers who actually do the cooking for these shelters. A different group of 6 people cook at the Emergency Shelter on the 3rd Thursday of each month; another group makes the desserts for that month. At COTS (Community Outreach Temporary Services) we have up to 60 people from St. Paul and area churches who cook on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the men’Äôs shelter and also at the women’Äôs shelter. They feed up to 180 people a week! Thank you cooks! Much time is also spent by the Callers, who contact all these wonderful volunteers on their lists and organize all the cooking schedules.
