Father's Reflections Third Sunday of Easter

May 3, 2019

Dear St. Paul Family,

This weekend we welcome 19 young people from our parish to the Altar of the Lord for the first time as they make their First Holy Communion at the 4:00pm Mass and 10:30am Mass.  Let us pray for each of them and their families that they may always make Sunday Mass, the Eucharistic celebration, a priority in their lives, and that all of us make Sunday Eucharist a priority in our lives as well.  The Eucharist gives us strength to live as disciples of the Lord.  God Bless our 1st Communion class!

We also welcome to the Altar of the Lord for the first time this weekend, Kendra Rios, an adult who is joining the Catholic Church this weekend at the 8:30am Mass as she makes her Profession of Faith, receives the Sacrament of Confirmation, and will receive her First Holy Communion.  Kendra is already baptized in another faith tradition, and has been preparing to enter the Catholic Church over the past several months.  We are overjoyed to have Kendra join the Catholic Church this weekend.  WELCOME KENDRA! and CONGRATULATIONS!  May God bless you as you now begin your life as a Catholic.

Thank you to everyone who made a gift to the 2019 Bishop’s Appeal!  We have now met our goal for this year!  This is FANTASTIC!  When we work together we can get things done.  Your gifts will help many people throughout our diocese to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus this year.  Thank you so much!  If you made a pledge, continue to fulfill your pledge since this is all counted toward our goal assessment.  If you have not yet made a gift but would like to, there is still time to do so.

Did you know that we have a Catholic Radio station right here in our Diocese?  It is called Relevant Radio.  It is headquartered in Green Bay but now broadcasted in 35 states across the nation.  Our Local network is 1050AM.  I encourage you to listen to Catholic Radio as another way to help you grow in your faith.  We are so blessed to have Catholic Radio here in our diocese.

Have a Wonderful 3rd Week of Easter!

Blessings,
Fr. Andy
